Magnus Donald Blackburn Bradbury earned his first international cap for Scotland starting at blindside flanker in the second 2016 Autumn Test match against Argentina, contributing to their 19-16 win.

Born in Glasgow, Bradbury represented Glasgow at under-16 and under-17 levels, Edinburgh at under-18 and Scotland at under-17.

Previously of Oban High School, he played for Scotland under-20 throughout 2014/15. In the absence of Edinburgh and Scotland back-row colleague, Jamie Ritchie, Bradbury took on captaincy duties, leading Scotland to a 17-10 defeat of Ireland in the final game of the 2015 6 Nations Championship.

Magnus was selected for his second World Rugby Under-20 Championship (formerly the IRB Junior World Championship) in 2015, and started in four of the five ties. With Ritchie named on the bench for the pool stage tie against Argentina, Bradbury was awarded captaincy and led his team to Scotland under-20’s first ever defeat of the South American side.

His mother, Dee, is currently President of Oban Lorne RFC and Vice President of the Scottish Rugby Union. His younger brother Fergus played age-grade rugby for Glasgow.
